You Give Me Butterflies

When flowers bloom, butterflies are around.  I've seen this design done on a sales associate at H&M.  I loved it! Her's was blue though.  I found a similar one here too: http://anosognosia.tumblr.com/post/742147786/via-unicorn-guts
This is really pretty and I didn't find it difficult to do.  Hope you like it!

You will need:
  • Jordana Mango (pearl orange)
  • Jordana Black
  • Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On
  • Rimmel Super Wear Top Coat
  • Paper clip
  • Thin paintbrush optional
Pretty basic bunch

 1.  Paint a gradient of orange from one side to the other.  I went from left to right.

 2.  Paint a black tip.  You don't have to be neat because it will get fixed up later.

3.  Paint down one side of the nail with black.  Carry it onto the edge closer to the cuticle about half way.

4.  Now comes a series of curved lines to paint. Connecting from where the line ends on the bottom, draw a curved line to the other side of the nail as shown.

 5.  Now starting for that line, paint curves towards the tip of the nail as shown.  I think it's better to look at the pictures than for me to describe it.  You get the idea?

6.  Clean up the harsh corners by curving them to make them rounder.

7.  Dot on some white around the tips.  Top coat it and you're done!

One of my faves for sure. It can look a little loud but I think it's still really pretty.  You don't have to do it to every nail too.  I usually just do one or two nails in the butter fly pattern.  The rest are orange with a black tip.  Hope I gave you butterflies =)

  2. Blue was what caught my eye too. It looked so pretty on her! Too bad I don't have any sheer enough blue to do a gradient with =(.
